Why Be A Potter...
I know of two influences on me which left indelible marks on my life... one my high school art teacher, Gene Harper, and a college ceramics professor, Don Penny. Both unknowingly opened to me paths which will last a life time. Teaching art and making pots! Thanks guys....NO WAY would I have seen these paths without your help.

Now, after 34 years of teaching everything from basic design to photography to ceramics to all disciplines of art, I can finally concentrate on the one area I really enjoy...............POTS!!!

Pottery making is NO easy task. It is quite physical as well as mental, and I also like the hum of the wheel............center, open, pull, and form.........this continuous flow of repetition produces an endless flow of clay forms...........bowls, mugs, tea cups, and whatever else I can dream up.....enjoy my website!

I would also like to thank two outstanding ceramic professors at Georgia Southern, Harris Deller and David Posner, for guiding me through graduate school.
